What is GEO

GEO — generative engine optimization — is a label people use for trying to appear in AI answers. The term is new. The behavior is old-fashioned: someone asks a question, and the answer names a few shops. If your name is there, you got a mention. If it is not, you did not.

The category attracted dashboards, scores, and task lists that look like SEO in a new coat. Mentionmill does not sell a GEO audit, a coverage percentage, or a promise that you will be named everywhere.
