Terms of use

These terms cover use of Mentionmill at https://mentionmill.com, operated by Media Yard LLC, PO Box 73, Pennsauken, NJ 08110. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Mentionmill is an AI mention check. You type a brand and a prompt. We run that prompt on ChatGPT and Perplexity when those engines are connected and show Named or Not named, who else was named, and cited links. The first check is free. No account. No card. A paid plan is $29/month and watches that same prompt weekly: we re-run it and email you when Named or Not named changes.

Mentionmill is not a GEO dashboard, not a rank, and not a 15-prompt monitor. We do not send SMS. Weekly steps and any “This week” notes are suggestions only. They do not guarantee that any AI system will name, cite, or mention you or your brand. Results vary by person and place.

No affiliation

Mentionmill is not affiliated with OpenAI, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google. Those names appear because the check runs those engines, or because people ask whether a shop shows up in those answers. They are not part of the Mentionmill wordmark.

Accounts, payment, and cancel

You may run a free check without an account. If you save a prompt, you create an account with a magic-link email. Paid plans are billed monthly at the price shown at checkout through Stripe when checkout is live. You may cancel the plan from Settings without closing the account, or by writing hello@mentionmill.com. Cancel stops the weekly watch. History stays unless you ask us to erase it.

Ownership

You keep the brand name, prompt, and any content you submit. Media Yard LLC keeps Mentionmill — the software, the mill mark, and the site. A paid plan is a license to use the weekly watch on one saved prompt. It is not a sale of the product.

No training on your prompts

We do not train a Mentionmill model on your prompts, brand names, or check history. We send the prompt to the engines named in How we use AI so they can answer it. See Privacy for processors.

Acceptable use

You must be 18 or older to use Mentionmill. Do not use the service to harass, impersonate, scrape at scale, submit unlawful content, or probe the product for abuse. We may refuse or end a check that looks abusive, and we may close an account that breaks these terms.

Export

The service is offered from the United States. You will not use Mentionmill in violation of U.S. export-control laws or to send technical data to a prohibited destination.

Sanctions

You represent that you are not a sanctioned party and are not located in a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction. We may refuse service where U.S. sanctions or OFAC rules require it.

Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other’s non-public information confidential and use it only to operate or use Mentionmill. This does not cover information that is public, already known, or that must be disclosed by law.

Assignment

You may not assign these terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or to a successor that takes on the product. These terms bind permitted successors.

AS-IS

The service is provided as-is. We do not warrant that a check is complete, that a name will hold, or that email will always arrive. Media Yard LLC is not liable for lost profits, lost business, or decisions you make from a check. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; those limits apply to the fullest extent allowed.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. If a change is material and you have an account, we will email the address on the account. Continued use after the date is acceptance.

New Jersey law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in New Jersey have exclusive venue, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Survival

Ownership, no-training, acceptable use, export, sanctions, confidentiality, AS-IS limits, New Jersey law and venue, and this survival clause last after the account or plan ends.
