How we use AI — Mentionmill

Mentionmill is an AI mention check operated by Media Yard LLC. When you submit a prompt, we send that prompt to ChatGPT and Perplexity when those engines are connected. Live checks use those APIs. If an engine is not connected, that pass is labeled so it is not shown as a live Named.

Engines

Two engines: ChatGPT and Perplexity. We read the answer for your brand, other names, and cited links. Engine names appear as labels on the result. They are not part of the Mentionmill wordmark.

Suggestions are not advice

“This week” and any other steps we show are suggestions only. They are not legal, marketing, or SEO advice. They do not guarantee that any AI system will name, cite, or mention you or your brand. Results vary by person and place.

What we do not do

Train a Mentionmill model on your prompts
Send SMS
Show a demo result as a live Named
Sell a GEO dashboard, a rank, or a visibility score

Prompts go to third parties

The prompt text is sent to OpenAI and Perplexity so they can answer it. Hosting is on Vercel Inc. Billing and email, when configured, use Stripe and Resend. See Privacy and the DPA.
